Take Home Books Begin!

Books and information regarding our Kindergarten “Take Home Book” Program were sent home with each child today.  The children were excited to say the least!!  Enjoy this special time with your child, as they are eager to get started at home with you!  My goal was to assign a “good fit” book for your child in order to help them be successful.  Reading is a big step for your Kindergartner and I want your child to gain confidence and shine.  Please use the bookmark strategies to help encourage your child to try.

I look forward to Monday when the children will have their first experience to read aloud to our parent helpers.  Please help your child remember to return their Take Home Book and baggie to school on Monday.  This will ensure the opportunity for them to be able to read and check out a new Take Home Book to enjoy and practice at home.  We will do this process each and every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  Thank you to the many parents who have committed themselves to sharing their time with our Kindergarten class as we grow our readers!
