Outstanding Students!: During the month of February, Isabella Jelsema and Dominic Robrahn were acknowledged Outstanding students in our classroom. Isabella for her positive attitude and perseverance, and Dominic for growing in his ability to look at the positive and use feedback as a gift! Thank you, Isabella and Dominic, for representing our classroom in such a positive way!
Here’s what we’ve been studying in Fourth Grade!
Math: Unit 6: Fractions – We continue with our unit on Fractions. The class has really embraced and enjoyed learning about how to work with fractions, creating equations with a sum or product, as well as converting them from improper fractions to mixed fractions. It’s hard to believe that we will wrap this unit up soon! Thank you for encouraging your child with their take home practice. This additional opportunity to practice has provided a positive boost for all.
Writing: Literary Essays – We are wrapping up our unit and experience with essay writing. The class has a good grasp of the structure of an essay and how to incorporate evidence to support their thesis. We continue to develop our ability to edit and make corrections to our writing. I’m excited for them to produce their final piece soon!
