Holiday Party: We enjoyed a week long spirt week of fun attire activities, and then ended our week with a holiday party and Polar Express finale with the story and many activities. At our class party, the children enjoyed their time celebrating with one another and it could not have happened without the help of so many wonderful parents! A BIG “Thank You!” to the parents who worked with me in the planning process, as well as helped with donations: Mrs. Floriana, Mr. & Mrs. Purwin, Mr. & Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Enders, Mrs. Pepper, Mrs. Shinabarger and Mrs. Baker! Thank you! I hope you enjoy this slide show of our holiday memories together:
Important Information and Reminders:
- Back to School: Will resume on Tuesday, January 3, 2017!
- Snack: Please pack your child a daily healthy snack.
- Winter Clothing: Please send your child with all their gear so that they can stay warm and dry during our outdoor recesses.
- January calendar: Please keep a look out for the latest January calendar to arrive in your email inbox.
- Take Home Books: Volunteers are needed for our Take Home Book program. (Please see your email for more information). If interested, please return your slip with availability no later than Friday, January 6. Thank you!
- Raz-Kids: The vacation break is a great time for your child to access Raz-Kids (an online reading program). If you misplaced their login information, you may email me. Please note, the level should not be difficult for them. This is an opportunity for your child to enhance their love of reading and build confidence, while using helpful reading decoding strategies that we have learned in class, like Lips the Fish, Eagle Eye, Stretchy Snake, Chunky Monkey and Wise Old Owl. I hope they are able to make time to enjoy this wonderful reading opportunity!
I wish you all wonderful moments with families and friends during this holiday vacation, and a very happy start to your 2017 new year!!!
