Clik here to view.President’s Day: In honor of this holiday, we read and learned about the lives of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. The children were very intrigued and connected to the interesting lives they lived. They enjoyed looking at the map to see where Virginia and Kentucky were, their birthplaces. They also enjoyed reading many interesting facts about Washington’s and Lincoln’s upbringing, symbols and how they both helped the people of this country. Their favorite was creating a two sided picture of these two very important presidents, and sharing facts learned with the class.

Clik here to view.Math: The children have been introduced to math mountains, which takes a number and breaks it down into two partners that equal that number. We have learned the story of the Tiny Tumblers to help us understand and figure out how many roll down each side of the mountain. Information arrived home with your child’s homework this past week.
